The European Commission published an EUDR simplification review and accompanying package, including updated guidance, FAQs and a draft product scope delegated act. The Commission expects compliance costs to fall about 75% before the regulation applies from 30 December 2026.
The simplification eases the cost of meeting EU deforestation rules for soy and palm imports, a minor supportive factor for EU import demand.
