EPA proposed Renewable Fuel Standard volume requirements and percentage standards for 2026 and 2027, covering cellulosic, biomass-based diesel, advanced, and total renewable fuel. It also proposes a partial waiver of the 2025 cellulosic volume and reducing RINs for imported renewable fuel and foreign feedstock.
Removing renewable electricity as a qualifying fuel is also proposed.
Proposed biomass-based diesel volumes and reduced import RIN credits would tighten domestic feedstock demand, supporting soybean oil prices if finalized.
