NOPA and allied groups asked the EPA to set 2026 Renewable Fuel Standard volumes for biomass-based diesel at no less than 5.25 billion gallons. A NOPA-commissioned study says domestic feedstocks can support 5.3 billion gallons in 2026 and 6.7 billion by 2030.
Higher mandated biomass-based diesel volumes would boost demand for soybean oil and other domestic feedstocks, supporting prices.
