CoBank reports that new-crop US soybean export sales for 2024/25 are the slowest since 2008 for this time of year, excluding 2019. Chinese bookings are at their slowest in nearly two decades, and a strong dollar and trade policy uncertainty are weighing on buyers.
Weak forward bookings point to softer US soybean export demand early in the marketing year, which pressures soybean and meal prices unless South American supply shortfalls emerge.
