The second corn crop 2025/26 will have an increase in area, but production is expected to fall by almost 10% in Brazil.

Agroconsult expects Brazil's second-crop corn area to rise 1.5% to 18.3 million hectares in 2025/26. Production is estimated at 112.1 million tonnes, down 9.5% from the prior record of 123.9 million, due to excess rain and delayed planting.
