Palm oil prices on Europe's vegetable oils market rose after Malaysian benchmark futures ended 1.7% higher at a two-month high. Crude palm oil offers were marked up by $5 to $15 a metric ton, with August delivery quoted at $740 a metric ton CIF Rotterdam, and buyers held back ahead of USDA crop forecasts.
Tight physical palm oil supplies linked to El Niño weather support prices and raise the cost of vegetable oil for feed users. Buyers are waiting for USDA data, which could shift soy complex prices.
