Chicago November soybean futures rallied from below $11.50 on August 11 to $12.22 on August 19 despite a record global crop forecast. China had booked 6.558 million tonnes of new-crop US soybeans as of August 21.
Strong Chinese purchases and crush demand are offsetting record supply, keeping soybean and meal prices firm for feed input costs.
