CBOT soybean oil rose 1.1% to $1,510 per ton on August 27 as the USDA Crop Progress report showed US soybean good-to-excellent ratings falling to 60%. Dry Midwest forecasts and strong Chinese buying of US beans also supported prices.
Lower US crop ratings and higher raw bean costs raise oilseed crush input costs, supporting soybean oil and meal prices for feed buyers.
