April lean hog futures slid 70 cents to $83.675 on February 28 after a weekly drop of $4.00. The decline followed the Trump administration's announcement that tariffs on Mexican, Canadian and Chinese goods would take effect the following week, and those countries are three of the top five US pork importers.
