December corn finished the week of June 15 down 15 1/4 cents, and November soybeans fell 59 1/4 cents to $9.30 1/2 after China enacted a 25% tariff on US soybean imports. Analysts said the soybean market has weaker fundamental support, while corn trend depends on US weather and fund liquidation.
A 25% Chinese tariff on US soybeans directly cuts export demand, and the weekly declines reflect that loss of support.
