March Nymex natural gas closed up 2.18% and reached a 2.5-week high as forecasts shifted colder for much of the continental US for February 16-20. Inventories as of January 31 were 4.4% below the five-year average, the lowest in over two years.
Lower-48 demand rose 28.1% year over year.
