The Russian Ministry of Agriculture said grain shipments from its seaports fell about 50 percent in the third quarter, to 11.2 million tonnes from 24.2 million a year earlier. Wheat exports were 7.8 million tonnes, a 2.4-fold decline, while barley fell to 1.4 million tonnes and corn to 912,000 tonnes.
A sharp drop in Russian port shipments tightens global wheat export availability and supports world wheat prices, with Black Sea disruption a key supply risk for feed grain buyers. Recent Russian export flows are already weighing on Chicago wheat, so this reinforces the bullish supply picture.
