Malaysia and Indonesia say they may file a WTO complaint if the European Commission adopts a proposal excluding palm biofuels from the Renewable Energy Directive. The EU Parliament's environment committee voted to exclude all palm biofuels.
Other vegetable oils would remain included.
Exclusion of palm biofuel from EU renewable mandates would remove a demand outlet for palm oil and is bearish for prices.
