Traders cited export demand concerns and uncertainty over Indonesia's B40 biodiesel mandate, after the energy minister allocated 15.6 million kilolitres of biodiesel for 2025 and gave industry until the end of next month to adapt.
Uncertainty over Indonesia's biodiesel allocation affects how much palm oil goes into domestic fuel versus exports, which shapes global vegetable oil supply. Until the mandate is clearer, palm prices are likely to stay under pressure.
