Trucking, aviation and home heating industry groups sent a May 13 letter to Trump administration officials and the Coast Guard. The letter asks for action to ensure adequate diesel supplies before IMO 2020 starts in 2020.
Expected shifts in marine fuel demand could strain US diesel supplies and raise prices for trucking and heating. Higher fuel costs would flow through to feed transport and distribution.
