USDA's August WASDE raised Russia's 2020/21 wheat crop by 1.5 mmt to 78 mmt and Ukraine's wheat crop by 0.5 mmt to 27 mmt. Russian corn was left unchanged at 15.3 mmt while Ukraine's corn rose 0.5 mmt to 39.5 mmt.
The Sizov Report called the Russian wheat revision smaller than its expected 3 mmt or more.
A smaller-than-expected upward revision to Black Sea wheat supplies leaves export availability tighter than some had assumed, which is mildly supportive for wheat and feed-grain values. The commentary's neutral-to-slightly-bearish view suggests limited price impact.
