United Workers Union said about 330 workers at SunRice, CopRice and Australian Grain Storage in regional New South Wales and Victoria will strike on Feb. 1 and 2.
The dispute is over wages and conditions in a new enterprise agreement. The union says the company seeks to remove leave provisions and pay casual staff less than the award.
A short strike at a major rice miller and grain storage operator could cause small delays to Australian rice processing and storage. The effect on rice prices is likely minor given the short duration.
