A USDA report examines US ethanol production and exports for the third and fourth quarters of 2021. It finds production rose 10% in Q4 on strong fuel demand and high margins, while rail shipments of ethanol increased to 89,585 carloads.
Higher ethanol output raises corn grind and DDGS supply, while rail volumes point to transport demand that is already strained. The content is backward-looking and changes little for near-term prices.
