Demand for Indian broken rice has risen after parboiled prices surged over the past 10 days, following an increase in the paddy minimum support price and Bangladesh cutting its rice import duty. Indian parboiled rice remains competitively priced below Pakistan and Thailand, and China is buying broken rice.
