Mexico's government issued a revised decree on Monday banning glyphosate and GM white corn for human food, while allowing transgenic yellow corn for feed and industrial use. The decree sets no new deadline and says it does not affect trade.
The US supplies nearly all of Mexico's feed corn.
The decree leaves feed-corn imports intact, so it has little immediate effect on US corn demand. Uncertainty over future policy and possible USMCA action still weighs on export prospects.
