An AgMarket.Net commentary on the week of the election, FOMC and WASDE says the November WASDE pointed to higher corn feeding and hinted at stronger soybean exports. Corn, soybeans and wheat sold off for three days after the bullish report.
The Fed cut rates 25 basis points that week.
Stronger expected feed use and soybean exports tighten supplies, which supports soybean and soymeal prices. The short-term selloff shows the export and feed demand signal has not yet lifted prices.
