Brazil's ethanol industry group Unem says Brazil could capture up to 7 million tonnes per year of China's DDG and DDGS market after a sanitary protocol signed May 13 opened the door. Brazil exported 1.02 million tonnes of DDG/DDGS in 2024/25, and its corn ethanol output reached 4.2 million tonnes.
Access to China would add a large new export outlet for Brazilian DDGS, potentially pulling supply away from other destinations and reshaping global DDGS pricing. The effect is still a potential future market rather than current flows.
