The EIA reported the US average diesel price at $3.708 per gallon for the week ending August 25, down half a cent. Distillate inventories fell 1.8 million barrels and sit about 15% below the five-year average.
Stocks running well below normal support diesel prices, which feed directly into trucking and grain freight costs.
