Corn futures led a grain rally after the July WASDE cut US corn stocks and showed stronger old-crop demand. French corn condition fell almost 30 points in two weeks, another heatwave threatens flowering crops, and a rumour suggested Russia could close the Azov Sea.
Analysts expect some profit-taking but continued support from weather risks.
Heat stress in Europe during flowering and the possible Azov closure both support corn and wheat prices. Feed buyers face firmer prices while weather risk persists.
