Crude palm oil at Rotterdam was US$1,235/ton in September 2021, up from August, while soybean, sunflower and rapeseed oil prices moved differently. Indonesian stocks rose to 3.65 million tons at the end of September as production and exports fell, and Malaysian output declined 0.39% from August.
Rising palm oil stocks in Indonesia combined with weaker output are the drivers behind the CPO price rise. Tighter supply supports vegetable oil prices, which affects the cost of palm-based feed ingredients.
