More than a dozen US biodiesel producers asked EPA to raise advanced biofuel and biomass-based diesel volumes under the RFS. They also asked for a correction they say favors large renewable diesel plants over small biodiesel refiners, which they claim are losing volume.
If EPA adopts higher biomass-based diesel volumes or rebalances credits toward biodiesel, feedstock demand for soybean oil would rise and support prices.
