European natural gas prices declined as persistent warmer-than-normal winter weather reduced demand and eased pressure on the region's energy systems. Prices fell as much as 6.5%, and unseasonably mild temperatures were forecast to continue into the following week.
Sustained mild weather cuts heating demand and LNG import needs, pushing gas prices lower. Cheaper gas lowers energy and fertilizer costs for European feed producers.
