The EPA has sent its proposed Renewable Fuel Standard volume obligations for 2018 and the 2019 biomass-based diesel volume to the White House Office of Management and Budget. The OMB review is expected to take up to 90 days, with a final rule due November 30.
Sending the proposal to OMB moves the biofuel mandate closer to publication, which affects corn ethanol and soybean oil demand. The proposal's numbers are not yet public, so the price impact is limited for now.
