The Western Grain Elevator Association thanked CP and the Teamsters for reaching a negotiated settlement and the federal government for its role. The association said grain shippers will work to move as much grain as possible before the new crop harvest.
With the strike averted, grain shippers can resume normal movement, lessening the risk of carry-out and transport disruption that would have pressured prices for feed grains.
