Purdue agronomist Bob Nielsen addresses whether warm nights during the grain fill period harm corn yields. He explains that higher maintenance respiration does not necessarily reduce kernel growth, and that high yields can coexist with warm temperatures.
The analysis suggests warm nights are not a clear threat to yields, so it does little to change the bearish-to-neutral corn supply outlook.
