A weekly Saskatchewan wheat outlook reports that USDA's September figures show global wheat production down 3% from last year to a four-year low. The largest declines are in the European Union and Russia, which together fall by 28 million tonnes.
Benchmark elevator and export prices are also provided.
A four-year low in world wheat output, led by the EU and Russia, tightens export supplies and supports wheat values. Lower world supply may also push feed buyers toward corn and barley substitutes.
