The November 2018 WASDE report lowered milk production forecasts for 2018 and 2019 on lower cow numbers. It also cut cheese, butter and Class III/IV price forecasts, and lowered the 2018 all-milk price to $16.20-$16.30 per cwt.
Smaller milk output and lower dairy price forecasts reduce expected dairy demand for feed, while weaker milk prices tighten dairy farm margins and may slow feed purchases.
