The US dollar fell against the euro for a third straight day as the currency gained from the European Commission's proposed 750 billion euro coronavirus recovery fund. Improved risk appetite also drew investors toward riskier assets, and EUR/USD traded near 1.1057.
Weekly US jobless claims of 2.1 million offered the dollar little support.
A weaker dollar tends to support dollar-priced commodities and firm demand from importers, while a stronger euro shifts competitiveness for EU feed and grain buyers. Sustained dollar weakness is a modest tailwind for US-priced feed ingredients.
