Wheat futures bounced sharply off an eight-month low set the prior week as concerns over the EU winter crop began to outweigh worries about Russia. Western and central Europe received insufficient spring rain, while Russia's wheat export program was restricted for the last two months of the season and EU exports have passed 35 Mt.
Dry conditions in the EU could trim supply and support export prices as EU overtakes Russia as the leading exporter, lifting wheat costs for feed formulators.
