USDA raised its 2020 US milk production forecast by 100 million pounds to 222.5 billion pounds on higher cow numbers. Price forecasts for 2020 cheese, butter and nonfat dry milk were raised on recent price strength, while the whey forecast was lowered.
A larger US milk supply forecast is bearish for dairy prices, though the raised cheese, butter and NDM price forecasts reflect firmer demand and point to support for dairy product values.
