Malaysia files request for consultations with the European Union and Certain Member States on certain measures concerning palm oil and oil palm crop-based biofuels at the WTO on January 15

Malaysia filed a WTO request for consultations with the European Union, France and Lithuania on 15 January 2021 over measures on palm oil and palm-based biofuels. Malaysia argues the EU's rules on crop-based biofuels violate several WTO obligations.

Malaysia is also keeping open the option of challenging other EU member states.
