Major Southeast fuel retailers, including Racetrac, Love's and Pilot Flying J, reported growing numbers of outlets without diesel as the Colonial shutdown entered its sixth day. Racetrac alone listed about 65 of roughly 750 outlets with no diesel.
Diesel shortages in the Southeast raise trucking costs and risk delays to feed and grain deliveries in the region. The shortage strengthens the diesel price outlook while the pipeline stays closed.
