The May WASDE gave the first look at 2021-22 U.S. crops, with corn production projected at 14.99 billion bushels based on a 179.5 bushel per acre yield and 91.1 million acres planted. Old-crop corn ending stocks were cut 95 million bushels to 1.257 billion.
The projected new-crop corn production outlook sets the supply baseline for feed prices through the coming season, and the old-crop cut supports near-term tightness.
