The US dollar weakened in Asia after FOMC minutes showed a united board backing a 25 basis point hike and a firm commitment to fighting inflation. Markets priced 25bp hikes for the next three FOMC meetings, and the Bank of Korea held rates at 3.50%.
Expectations of continued Fed tightening support the dollar over the medium term, which tends to weigh on dollar-priced commodities and raises import costs for emerging-market feed buyers.
