US natural gas futures rose about 1% on a daily dip in output and wildfire disruptions in Canada. Gas flows to LNG export plants were on track for a six-week low, largely due to reduced activity at Cameron LNG in Louisiana.
Recent record LNG flows were noted for comparison.
Lower output and reduced LNG pull are mixed signals, so the net effect on domestic gas prices and input costs is modest.
