Peru's Ministry of Production has cancelled the first 2023 anchovy season in the north-central zone after exploratory fishing from 3 to 7 June found no biological conditions for extraction. Juveniles made up 86.3% of individuals landed, and the ministry will reassess the resource in two to three weeks.
