Moroccan fertilizer producer OCP North America says it sees a path back into the US market, potentially in time for spring application. Two Court of International Trade rulings in September sent the ITC and Commerce back to revisit decisions that effectively shut OCP out.
Its phosphate shipments stopped for MAP and DAP under countervailing duties, though TSP continued.
A possible return of Moroccan phosphate supply would add US import availability for spring planting, which would weigh on domestic phosphate prices. The outcome depends on pending ITC and Commerce decisions.
