AAFC's latest estimates raise Canadian oat production by 874,000 mt to 3.51 million mt for 2024-25 on 3.07 million seeded acres. Ending stocks are forecast at 400,000 mt, well below the five-year average of 618,200 mt.
Higher output eases supply, but ending stocks remain far below average, so the net effect on oat prices is balanced and tight carryout keeps support under the market.
