A USMCA dispute panel ruled in favor of the United States on all seven legal claims, finding Mexico's ban on importing genetically modified corn violated the trade agreement. US farmers exported $4.8 billion of corn to Mexico, the largest corn export market, in the first 10 months of 2024.
The decision protects access to the largest US corn export market, supporting US corn demand and prices.
