Natural gas futures rose midday as traders anticipated a restart of the Freeport LNG terminal in Texas, which went offline after power interruptions. Colder forecasts for the following weeks also supported prices.
A restart of Freeport would return about 2 Bcf/d of feedgas demand, supporting natural gas prices and the cost of energy used in feed production.
