The State Bank of Vietnam's central rate was 25,192 VND per USD on September 29, down 2 dong from the previous day, and has risen about 3.4% since the start of the year. Commercial bank rates also eased slightly, while the black-market rate was about 200 dong higher.
The US dollar index has fallen roughly 10% over the past eight months.
