The US is on track to export a record volume of fuel ethanol in 2025, averaging 138,000 b/d through July, 9% above 2024's record. Exports now absorb 13% of domestic production, while domestic consumption is flat.
Most of the growth has gone to the Netherlands.
Stronger export demand pulls more corn into US ethanol plants, supporting corn grind and firming corn demand. The effect on prices is moderate because it adds to an already large ethanol industry.
