An NQA article on palm oil says the Commission's May 4, 2026 review confirmed the EUDR deadlines of December 30, 2026 for large operators and June 30, 2027 for small ones. The draft delegated act expands Annex I to cover hydrogenated palm oils, fatty alcohols, soap products and other oleochemicals.
Adding oleochemical and palm derivatives to scope pulls more downstream palm users into full plot-level traceability. This may favor certified supply such as RSPO-certified palm oil, though it adds compliance cost for some buyers.
