USDA export sales data show private exporters sold 120,000 metric tons of corn for delivery to Mexico. Of that, 30,000 tons is for the 2026/27 marketing year and 90,000 tons is for 2027/28.

Forward sales to Mexico add modest, firm demand for U.S. corn and support the export basis. The volume is small relative to total U.S. corn exports, so the price effect is limited.
