The drop follows the loss of the blender's tax credit for imported fuel, which the 45Z credit now limits to domestic production, along with weaker domestic consumption.
Lower imports shift biofuel feedstock demand toward domestic production, which supports U.S. soybean oil use but reduces import-driven demand for feedstock oils from abroad.
